Patan Academy of Health Sciences is pleased to announce the appointment of Prof. Dr. Buddhi Prasad Paudel as its new Vice Chancellor. Prof. Paudel officially assumed office on 14th August 2025.
A distinguished academician and clinician, Prof. Paudel brings extensive experience in undergraduate and postgraduate medical teaching, clinical research, and institutional development. He began his professional career at Patan Hospital as a Medical Officer in November 1999 and later rejoined the Department of Internal Medicine in 2004 as a permanent faculty member. Since then, he has made significant contributions through his clinical practice, teaching, and research, particularly in the field of rheumatology, earning national recognition.
Before he was appointed Vice Chancellor, Prof. Paudel served as Head of the Department of Internal Medicine, where he showed thoughtful leadership and a deep commitment to academic excellence. The PAHS community warmly welcomes Prof. Paudel and looks forward with optimism to his leadership in nurturing academic excellence, encouraging innovation, and furthering the institution’s mission.
