
06 Feb 2026 (23 Magh 2082). The Eighteenth PAHS Day was celebrated as an annual event amidst a formal program under the chairpersonship of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Buddhi Prasad Paudyal. The program was graced by the Honorable Minister for Health and Population, Sudha Sharma Gautam as chief-guest and Mr. Chiri Babu Maharjan, Mayor of Lalitpur Metropolitan City, as special guest. The celebration brought together executives, faculty members, staff, students, and distinguished guests from PAHS, Patan Hospital, and other stakeholders.
During the program, the Registrar, Prof. Dr. Paras Kumar Acharya, presented the annual progress report of PAHS, highlighting the academy’s key achievements in academics, clinical services, research, and institutional development over the past year. On this occasion, 15 senior staff members were honored for completing 25 years of dedicated service to the academy and hospital, while 17 staff members were felicitated upon their retirement in recognition of their long and valuable contributions.

Adding further significance to the day, the sixth edition of the Symphony magazine was formally liberated by the honorable guests. The health services of PAHS were also officially digitalized, marked by the symbolic printing of a health card by the Honorable Minister—an important milestone in the institution’s digital advancement.

The winners of the Scientific Symposium received certificates and prizes for their outstanding presentations and research contributions. Likewise, the winners of the Weight Loss Competition 2082 were awarded mountain bikes to encourage health and fitness among the PAHS community. The winner of Sports Week 2082 was awarded the running shield to the Green House.
The program concluded with a valuable speech by Mayor Mr. Chiri Babu Maharjan, insightful instructions and encouragement from the Honorable Minister Sudha Sharma Gautam, and closing remarks by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Buddhi Prasad Paudyal, reaffirming PAHS’s commitment to excellence in medical education and quality health care services.
