Patan Academy of Health Sciences successfully conducted 39th batch of Basic Life Support(BLS) training program to Critical care fellows, 2nd and 3rd year Pediatric PG residents, Nursing faculties and PAHS nurses. The training session was executed by PAHS BLS Nursing Team.
The training session consisted of these following:

It combines chest compressions (to manually pump blood to vital organs, especially the brain) and rescue breaths (to supply oxygen) until medical personnel arrive or advanced life support is available.
Choking Management: Interventions used when a foreign object blocks a person’s airway, preventing normal breathing. For adults and children, this typically involves a combination of back blows and abdominal thrusts (the Heimlich maneuver) to dislodge the obstruction
AED (Automated External Defibrillator): A portable electronic device used during emergencies to diagnose life-threatening cardiac arrhythmias (such as ventricular fibrillation) and deliver an electrical shock to restore a normal heart rhythm.
The session was concluded in the warm presence of Hospital Director Prof. Dr Shanta Bir Maharjan and Nursing director Rachana Shakya PAHS extends heartiest congratulations to all the participants.
