ExecutivesProfessor Dr. Nabees Man Singh Pradhan, Vice-Chancellor of Patan Academy of Health Sciences (PAHS), brings over two decades of clinical, academic, and institutional leadership to the university. Prior to his appointment as Vice-Chancellor, he served as Dean of the School of Medicine, where he was a cornerstone of the institution's academic development for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs and a key contributor to the design and implementation of PAHS's innovative competency-based curriculum.
With over 23 years of service as an orthopedic surgeon at Patan Hospital, he pioneered the introduction of Total Elbow Replacement, Knee Arthroplasty, and Total Hip Arthroplasty at the hospital. Following fellowships in Arthroplasty and Arthroscopy, and later in Sports and Shoulder Surgery, he further expanded services by establishing Shoulder Arthroscopy and Shoulder Replacement surgeries.
Professor Dr. Pradhan has held several key leadership positions at PAHS, including Chairman of the Department of Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery, Chairman of the Institutional Review Committee, and Chief Editor of the Journal of Patan Academy of Health Sciences. Beyond the institution, he serves as Chairman of the Medical Commission of the Nepal Olympic Committee and has represented Nepal in anti-doping and sports medicine roles at major international events, including the Asian Games and South Asian Games. His breadth of experience across clinical care, medical education, and institutional governance positions him to lead PAHS into its next phase of growth.
